Privacy Policy
How Piano Rhythm collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app.
- We store your sign-in info (via Apple or Google) and your gameplay stats — score, level, XP, achievements — tied to your account.
- If you use the global leaderboard, your display name, level, and XP are visible to other signed-in players.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple. We never see your card details.
- Push notifications are scheduled locally on your device only — nothing is collected for them.
- You can delete your account and all your data anytime from Settings → Delete Account.
- We show no ads and we don't sell your data.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and a unique account identifier (and your email address, if you choose to share it) through Firebase Authentication, so we can create and secure your account.
Gameplay data. Your scores, accuracy, streaks, level, XP, coins, and achievements are stored in our database (Google Firebase), tied to your account, so your progress is saved across sessions and devices.
Leaderboard data. If you view or appear on the global leaderboard, your display name, level, and XP become visible to other signed-in users of the app.
Subscription information. If you subscribe to Piano Rhythm Premium, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple's App Store. Our subscription partner, RevenueCat, receives confirmation of your subscription status and an anonymous purchase identifier so we can unlock Premium features — we never see or store your card details.
Notifications. If you enable Push Notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your own device. We do not collect, transmit, or store anything for this feature.
We do not access your device's camera or microphone, and we do not collect location data, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate core app features — saving your progress, showing your rank, unlocking Premium.
- To maintain the security of your account.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising. Piano Rhythm shows no ads, subscribed or not.
Sharing Your Information
Service providers. Google Firebase (authentication and database hosting), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (payment processing) each receive only what they need to perform their specific function, under their own privacy terms.
Other players. Only your display name, level, and XP — and only if you use the leaderboard.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
Your Choices & Rights
- Delete your account and all associated data anytime from Settings → Delete Account — this permanently removes your profile, scores, and subscription record from our systems.
- Turn Push Notifications off anytime in Settings.
- Manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your Apple ID account settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under GDPR or CCPA — to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us below to exercise them.
Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists, and delete it upon request (see above) or after an extended period of inactivity.
Children's Privacy
Piano Rhythm is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We rely on established providers (Firebase, Apple, RevenueCat) and standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect your data in transit. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date above reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
